The IACP has a fund for outreach, support and advocacy to help promote and protect the values of our membership. Some of the uses of this fund are, but not limited to:

• Influencing canine related legislation which would affect dog owners and professionals
• Creating educational programs to promote our values to the public, and other animal professionals.
• Promoting humane dog training education
• Fighting efforts globally to ban training tools

As of September 2019, this fund was named the Martin Deeley Hardship Fund.

Martin, an IACP's founder and previous Executive Director, was always passionate about assisting members who were passionate about their work but had fallen onto hard times. To assist members with annual dues, if and when a true financial hardship arises, the Association created the Martin Deeley Hardship Assistance Fund. Submissions for Hardship Assistance should be submitted to the Admin Office who will present submissions to the Board of Directors for approval and membership renewal funding. Financial Assistance will be limited to one year of membership.

The Captain Haggerty Memorial Scholarship fund was created to offer a conference scholarship program.

This scholarship is aimed at assisting young professionals and trainees to gain education and experience by funding their attendance to the IACP Educational Conference through an essay writing contest.

The Martin and Jack Deeley Memorial Scholarship is presented to a canine operative working in a 501c3 or government establishment (canine shelter and rescue, search and rescue, police force, armed service etc.) where financial assistance to attend the conference is limited or not available.
