IACP Executive Director

Andrew Aguirre

Born in El Paso, Texas Andrew Aguirre will be relocating with his family from his current home in Hawaii to El Paso this summer.

Andrew is leaving his most recent position as the State Director for Vision to Learn, VTL Hawaii where he oversaw all levels of operations in the field of mobile pediatric eye care.  Starting in 2018, Andrew developed the VTL program which now provides 3,000 exams each school year to low-income students in heavily impoverished communities through a $3M operation budget.

Funded by an impressive coalition of private donors as well as the management of state and federal funds, his responsibilities included day-to-day operations, grant writing/reporting, program finance, board governance, Human Resources, and development.

Through his work at VTL, Andrew has dealt with some of Hawaii’s key members of legislature, public and private education executives, medical experts, and highly reputable capital growth analysts.

With a lifetime of non-profit sector experiences, Andrew is excited for his new opportunity with the IACP.  A dog lover with a passion for agency development, a deep understanding of finances and the structures needed for member retention, experience as a public speaker, proven leadership and program management, governance, fundraising, social media management, and strategic planning the IACP warmly welcomes Andrew Aguirre!
