What is the passing grade?

The IACP Public Access Test (PAT) is a Pass or Fail test. A passing score is 85%, or 85 points out of 100. There are 25 multiple choice questions worth 4 points apiece. The test has a 30 minute time limit. The questions are randomized within their sections, so no two tests are exactly alike.

 How much does it cost?

The IACP PAT costs $100.00 USD. Payment must be made with a major credit card or through Paypal. Once you have paid your test fee, you will receive a link to create a Test Username and Password to access your test.

What happens if I pass?

Upon passing the test you will receive an email with the next steps to finalize your PAT Evaluator status. You may also use the certification credentials “PAT” after your name.

 What happens if I fail?

You will be allowed to re-take the test as many times as you like, but you must wait at least 30 days to do so.  A $50.00 USD fee will apply to each retake.

 Who benefits?

You, your clients, their dogs, and the IACP. Everybody wins!
